The PicoScope 4425A 4-Channel Starter Kit is a professional entry-level oscilloscope package designed for modern automotive diagnostics. Built around the latest 4425A automotive oscilloscope, this kit provides a reliable foundation for technicians looking to expand beyond scan tool diagnostics into waveform-based fault finding.
The 4425A features PicoBNC+™ smart connectivity, enabling fast, secure connections and automatic probe recognition to simplify setup and reduce configuration errors. When used with compatible software, probe guidance and mismatch alerts help ensure correct connections before testing begins, improving efficiency in the workshop.
The kit is compatible with PicoScope Automotive software, including PicoScope 6, PicoDiagnostics, and the newer PicoScope 7 Automotive (currently in beta). PicoScope 7 Automotive provides access to an extensive library of Guided Tests, including coverage for hybrid and electric vehicles, supporting a structured diagnostic workflow from connection through to waveform analysis.
Access to a large waveform library of known-good patterns allows captured signals to be compared against reference data, helping technicians confirm faults with greater confidence. The platform also supports existing BNC accessories, making it suitable for workshops upgrading from earlier PicoScope equipment or using third-party probes.
