This guide outlines the essential equipment required to perform diagnostics and programming on the FCA group of vehicles using the wiTECH 2.0 Diagnostic application. It also highlights recommended additional tools, registration and running costs, ease of use, update frequency, and the level of access available to independent repairers through the NEW Stellantis Independent operator Portal. this has been designed to consolodate Technical information web portal for FCA Europe and the Mopar Store for North America ( Direct portal links are still active – The NEW portal simply pulls them together to access from one place.) Recommended Computer
No specific PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone is required, as wiTECH 2.0 is a web-based application. It is compatible with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari. Initial VCI setup must be completed via USB using a small downloadable application to configure the device for Wi-Fi connectivity.
Recommended Specifications:
A genuine wiTECH 2.0 setup does not require dedicated hardware. An internet connection with a minimum 3 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed per user is recommended. For wiTECH 2.0 J2534 Pass-Thru, the minimum system requirements are: Windows 11, Dual-core 1.5 GHz (or faster) processor, 4 GB RAM, and 10 GB of available storage. Windows 7 is no longer supported for the wiTECH 2.0 J2534 solution.
Note: Additional free storage may be required annually for new vehicle data updates.
Geographical Usage
Before purchasing, consider where the tools will be used. Some regions may require additional permissions or local approvals:
Registration Requirements
To use these tools fully, especially for security-related functions such as programming keys or modules, you’ll need to meet certain registration and compliance criteria. These vary slightly depending on your location, but the following are commonly required:

| Finland | February 2024 |
| Norway | February 2024 |

Cost and Support
wiTECH 2.0 subscriptions are available in a range of flexible durations, including 1 day ($42.50), 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, and 1 year ($1,700). For workshops requiring Tech Authority, subscriptions are available from $17.50 for 1 hour (EU workshops) or $180.00 for 3 days (overseas workshops). Technical documentation can also be purchased from €7.50–€11.00 for 1 hour of access, depending on the vehicle brand.
wiTECH 2.0 is intuitive and easy to navigate. The only area that can be time-consuming is the initial VCI setup, which may occasionally require the device to be re-paired with the Wi-Fi network.
Training Options
The 1-hour training session included with the bundle is typically sufficient to cover the core features and day-to-day operation of the software. Additional support and training are available through DTS hourly technical support as required.
Updates and Technical Support
As wiTECH 2.0 is a web-based platform, it does not require traditional software installations or manual updates. Application updates, security patches and VCI firmware upgrades are deployed automatically in the background, ensuring users always have access to the latest version.
Occasionally, VCI firmware updates may require the device to be reset to factory settings and reconfigured. While this is not a major issue, it can be time-consuming and may result in temporary downtime.
Technical support is available through our DTS Support Subscription or on a Pay As You Go (PAYG) basis.
Additional Notes:
DTS (Dealer Tool Support) is available.

Additional Products
Recommended Essentials
A battery support unit is recommended during ECU programming and software flashing to maintain a stable vehicle voltage throughout the process:
Certain diagnostic, programming and repair procedures may also require an active Technical Documentation subscription and/or SERMI authorisation, depending on the operation being performed.
For advanced diagnostics and repairs involving high-voltage (HV) systems, technicians must hold the appropriate High Voltage (HV) certification in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
Optional Add-ons
A docking station and GYS diagnostic trolley are optional accessories and are not required for operating the wiTECH 2.0 diagnostic system. They may improve workshop organisation and convenience but are not essential for functionality.
Footnote
wiTech2.0 uses a 2FA system called OKTA and this needs setting up before the system can be used. As a result of Stellantis now merging FCA, Vauxhall and PSA Brands you can now register 5 different tools to use the software. these are microPod II, MDP, MDP+, NEW PSA VCI and a J2534 device such as cardaq plus 3, mongoose, Bosch MTS6531 or the Actia ACI3. Pass thru can be tricky to register if not done it before. Tool registration can take a few days to be processed and initial authorisation is for the CJD Brands (Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge) once the device is registered in your dashboard you can then request access to the other brands known as FLAPH (Fiat, Lancia, Alfa) this can add another couple of days to action.
