Updates and Technical Support
Software Updates & Support
MG does not follow a fixed release schedule for Vehicle Diagnostic System (VDS) software updates. We recommend checking for hotfixes and major software releases at least once per month to ensure the system remains up to date.
Installing software updates typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the update size and internet connection. While running the latest version is not always essential, it is strongly recommended, particularly when diagnosing or programming newer MG models, to ensure full vehicle coverage and compatibility.
