Why keep your Autel tool in subscription?
Autel updates are very good value for money. Most people do not realise that the greatest cost of any diagnostic company is the software development needed to keep your tool as up to date as possible.
When you buy an Autel diagnostic tool, you get the first year or two of updates free of charge. There is no obligation to update your tool after that, and it will not lock out if you decide not to. However, as cars become more complex, you will find you need your tool to be in a software subscription – for instance to access DoIP and CAN-FD network protocols, or manufacturer secure gateways.
While your tool is in an active software subscription, you also get free access to our UK support team (worth £299) for all tools supplied through the UK distribution hub that carry a valid EU-UK support tag.
Where to find the EU support tag
- Back product label: look for the regional support or EU tag sticker on the back or rear casing of your Autel scanner.
- System settings menu: if the sticker is worn or missing, turn the scanner on, open the MaxiSYS application, tap Settings and select the About tab.
