Volvo DiCE & DOIP Adapter

A genuine diagnostic tool complete with a DOIP adapter. This diagnostic tool is used in conjunction with VIDA. It’s the most modern Volvo tool on the market and an update of the VCT2000 device. You’ll require this DiCE tool in order to comply with Volvo standards.

Features

• DiCE (Diagnostic Communication Equipment) enables the detection of vehicle issues.
• Bluetooth is used to transmit data wirelessly between the vehicle and the VIDA. This makes things easier for the technician. Alternatively, a USB cable can be used.
• DiCE has a built-in warranty timer which starts the first time you use the DiCE. This means that you can install DiCE prior to initial use as the warranty period does not start until it is used for the first time. DiCE has a two-year warranty.
• Status LEDs displaying the statuses (status of the software, the USB and Bluetooth communication, and the interface to the vehicle).
• A DC input for a battery cable or adapter (12 V) to be connected. The adapter is used when upgrading the firmware and solving faults with the DiCE.

Software

VIDA Software is designed to reveal defects which have been documented in the vehicle’s computers. This enables expert technicians to confidently diagnose the issue so that they can carry out the appropriate repairs. One VIDA station can serve a number of DiCE units. This means that several technicians are able to use the same VIDA station with their individual DiCE tools. Note, software partner ID can be provided.

Requirements

• A laptop or PC with an internet connection.
• A VIDA subscription. This can be purchased hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or annually.
• A partner ID from your local Volvo dealership.
